Website expands

Yes, you've got it right! Website (my Brazilian Salmon Pink tarantula) has finally moulted and is looking VERY good! with a leg span of 5cm! :D Finally! The bugger is growing and getting so much closer to being his adult size, a possible 12-14 inches! I have also noticed some nice pink coloration coming out, but due to being sub-adult those colors are slightly muted.

After opening up his tunnel to remove the moult, he crawled out and relaxed on the top, not in the least bit stressed. This is great for me to see as this specific species has been given a very bad rep by the general population which does not actually own them. I found in nudging Website out and onto my hand, he tiptoed onto my hand and when i finally got him to stay there instead of turning around and heading back, he was very relaxed. I cleaned his container and set it up again only to be shown he knew the way back home and calmly walked back and in. ;) Without flicking hair or getting a fright and bolting once!

Since that time he has not found the urge to sit under objects in his tub but rather relaxes up on the surface. I have heard this species becomes quite confident of themselves after a certain size in life, as if they know they are one of the top 3 largest in the world and I can truly say my specimen of Lasiodora parahybana is very relaxed and not at all aggressive. I have to mention though that I handle all of them twice a week just before feeding.
