G. pulchripes, B. auratum, B. vagans and L. parahybana grow more!

I am still stunned by the speed of which the Lasiodora parahybana (Website) AND the Brachypelma vagans (The Beast) tarantula's I own grow with! They are reaching sub-adult sizes and still molt every once a month! That could be expected from Website as he ranked in the top three largest tarantulas in the world, but The Beast continually impresses. I am lucky to have four tarantulas who always seem ready to feed and thus far haven't given me any problems! :) My Grammostola pulchripes (Paris) is as gentle as ever and just keeps on growing as well! I have stopped 'power feeding' as the crickets I feed her aren't big enough to be able to do that anymore, now it is a matter of just making sure the crickets are enough to fill her up!
I bought super-worms from the local pet store and sadly was gifted with a mite infestation... They looked like wood dust from working with a sanding machine, so immediately took measures to eliminate them. What basically needs to happen is a complete cleaning of the enclosures, replacing all substrate and using a VERY weak bleach+water solution to clean the tanks. This cleaning should be done every three days (if you have spare tanks you can move the tarantulas between these), until after long thorough inspection none are spotted. Thanks to the speed with which my tarantulas grow I simply had to replace their tanks with new larger sized ones. Pictures of the new setup will soon follow!
